A to Zen support

Something not working, or got an idea? Email us. It helps to say which phone or tablet you’re on and what happened just before the problem.

Where is my progress saved?

On the device you play on. Deleting the app removes it, so please don’t do that unless you mean to start again.

Why didn’t my word count?

Words need three letters or more, and four on some Arcade pages. On pages where each word only counts once, a repeat won’t score. Swear words and slurs are left out of the word list on purpose. If you think a real word is missing, email us and tell us which one.

What’s the difference between Zen and Arcade?

Zen has no clock and no way to lose, and you pick the size of the grid. Arcade has 240 pages, each with a score to reach before the clock runs out, and after the first chapter, each chapter of twelve pages adds its own twist.

An advert didn’t play

Adverts need an internet connection. A VPN or an ad blocker can stop them too, because they block Google’s adverts. You can still play without them. You just won’t get the extra that the advert would have given you.

How do I change my advert choices?

In the UK and EU, open Settings in the game and tap Ad privacy choices. On iPhone there’s nothing else to change, because the game never asks to track you. On Android, you can delete your advertising ID in your phone’s Settings, under Privacy, then Ads.

How do I start again from scratch?

Open Settings in the game and tap Reset progress. Your scores, notebook and Arcade pages go back to the start, and your settings stay as they are. It can’t be undone.

Still stuck? Tell us what happened and which device you’re on.
